Fernando Alonso came to the 2023 British Grand Prix on the strength of a fantastic start to the season after changing teams. The Spanish driver was sitting in third place in the overall standings after taking six podiums in the previous ten races.
The weekend at the iconic Silverstone circuit, where he won in 2011, saw Alonso carry on his streak of point-scoring results with his trademark grit.
“I think we managed our strategy well and made the right calls during the race”, commented Alonso after the chequered flag.
At the end of the 2023 British Grand Prix, Fernando Alonso confirmed third in the drivers’ championship with 137 points.
